Computer Vision workshop with Adam Harvey

CCC and Uncertain Archives presents this workshop that will explore emerging and existing capabilities in computer vision.

Participants can engage with biometric enrollment through several facial analysis algorithms from EigenFaces to 3D reconstruction techniques. The goal of this workshop will be to develop a more technical understanding of remote biometrics through a direct experience with the algorithms. Biometric enrollment is optional. No previous coding experience necessary.

About Adam Harvey

Adam Harvey (1981, USA) is an artist and independent researcher based in Berlin. He is a graduate of the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University (2010) and the founder of the Privacy Gift Shop, an online marketplace for countersurveillance art and privacy enhancing technology. Harvey's previous work includes developing camouflage from face detection (CV Dazzle, 2010), anti-drone garments (Stealth Wear, 2013), a faraday cage phone case (OFF Pocket, 2013), and a WiFi geolocation emulator (SKYLIFT, 2016). Harvey's multidisciplinary and artistic approach to hacking surveillance technologies has been featured in the New York Times, exhibited at the V&A museum, tweeted by the Pentagon, and published in a classified intelligence briefing.
