Centre for Communication and Computing (CCC) is now a reality. The centre was established as a multi-disciplinary and cross-faculty initiative to strengten research and integrate the expertises from several KU units in the fields of communication, it and new media.

CCC draws on research expertise from the Faculty of Science (computer science) and the Faculty of Humanities (media and communication studies, and language technology) and is intended to grow over the coming years to include a number of researchers and PhD students from the related departments.

The centre is headed by Professor Jørgen Bansler, DIKU, with professor Klaus Bruhn Jensen, MEF, as vice Head of Centre.

The centre is officially inaugurated on November 16th, 2011 in the form of an afternoon event with invited speakers and speed cases presenting research cases from the centre.
