New faces at CCC

The Centre for Communication and Computing is growing in size as well as in research diversity.

Recently, Professor Finn Kensing and Assistant Professor Sebastian Boring have joined the Centre.

Finn Kensing

Finn Kensing

Finn Kensing is director of the Center for IT Innovation and a leading international researcher within Participatory Design. He has been research manager and primary fundraiser for more than 20 research projects within Health Informatics, Computer Supported Cooperative Work, and Participatory Design. Currently, he leads a Danish group of computer scientists, sociologists and cardiologists that designs IT support for collaboration among health professionals and patients across institutional and professional boundaries, allowing heart failure patients to play a more active role in their own treatment.

Sebastian Boring

Sebastian Boring

Sebastian Boring’s main research focus is on Human-Computer Interaction – particularly applied to mobile devices. His current vision is to extend the small display space of mobile devices (which is inherent due to the requirement of being mobile) by considering a device’s immediate vicinity instead of solely looking at the mobile display as input and output canvas. He also applies such concepts to larger displays and other forms of future mobile devices, e.g. Google Glass.

In this context it should also be noted that CCC researcher Mikkel Rønne Jakobsen has been appointed Assistant Professor, while Anne Mette Thorhauge and Stine Lomborg have been appointed Associate Professors.
