Anja Simonsen participates in parliamentary conference

CGC researcher Anja Simonsen has been invited to take part in the parliamentary conference ‘Envisioning Effective Public Policy to Prevent and Address Cases of Missing Migrants’ at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
The conference brings together members of PACE, forensic practitioners, prosecutors, law enforcement officials, representatives of international organisations, key civil society actors, and families of people who have gone missing in the context of migration. It explores avenues for parliamentary engagement on this pressing human rights issue with local, national, and international implications.
By participating in this conference, Simonsen, Principal Investigator of the ERC Starting Grant SOLID team, contributed meaningfully to the cause of fostering dialogue across the various actors and stakeholders affected by the loss of, or uncertainty surrounding, the fate of loved ones in the context of migration.
