Anja Simonsen to speak at UN event on migration across the Mediterranean

CGC researcher Anja Simonsen will be among the panelists when UN City Copenhagen hosts an evening event on June 3 focusing on migration and rescue efforts in the Mediterranean. The event centers around the documentary Until He’s Back, which follows migrants on their precarious journey across the Strait of Gibraltar.

As part of the program, Simonsen will share her expertise on migration, border politics, and the consequences that arise when migrants disappear or lose their lives en route – an issue she is currently researching with support from the European Research Council through the project The Social Life of Dead Bodies (SOLID).
