CGC Researchers at the People's Meeting 2024
Henrik Vigh and Jakob Demant will partake in a panel discussion titled "What strategies are effective in combating the increasing prevalence of cocaine?" Julie Nygaard Solvang will present her research on "Reuse or Poison? Export of e-waste from the EU to Ghana." Drawing from ethnographic fieldwork in Accra and Hamburg, her presentation will highlight the environmental and social impacts of e-waste trade, the manual extraction of valuable metals in Ghana, and the broader implications for global value chains and the green energy transition. The presentation is scheduled for June 14th from 12:30 to 12:55 at F14.
