Henrik Vigh features on an episode of Danish radio programme "Verden Kalder"

CGC Head of Centre, Henrik Vigh, recently featured in a programme broadcasted by the Danish radio station Radio4. The programme investigated Syria’s position as a central actor in the production and trafficking of the amphetamine-related drug, captagon. Vigh lays out the nature and effects of captagon and outlines this type of drug’s historical connections with warfare.

In addition to Vigh’s contribution, Professor and Middle East researcher at Roskilde University, Sune Haugbølle describes the significance of this illicit economy for the war-torn country and the Syrian regime’s relation to other political actors in the region.
