Julie Nygaard Solvang shares insights on green criminology in panel discussion
Green criminology
CGC researcher and PhD fellow Julie Nygaard Solvang recently participated as a panelist in a debate on anthropological perspectives on waste at Moesgård Campus. Her participation was based on her article "’Skraldet’ mellem Hamborg og Accra," newly published in the Danish Ethnographic Association’s journal Jordens Folk.
Solvang specializes in political anthropology and green criminology. In collaboration with photographer Celeste Knirke, her article explores how toxic electronic waste in Ghana is embedded in global supply and pollution chains, raising critical questions about labor division and unequal redistribution across the globe.
